As you can imagine, I was pretty darn chuffed when someone requested an image from my own fanfic!! *beam* ^__^

So - continuing my donate-and-sketch sketchathon requests!
This is Anders and Sebastian from a scene in Sign of The Maker by...well....me '^_^

I was super-honoured to have this one requested by :iconelenilote: ~ THANK YOU!! Since my last sketch dump had a kind of 'anders on the floor' version of this scene, I went for the moment before he falls...hope that's okay!
If you really want him as a puddle of angst on the floor...I'm sure I can oblige, LOL XD

Sebastian could ahve been a really good character in the game, but they lost so many chances to make him more 3D, instead pf the knee-jerk chantry celebate. He was finally showing some gumption when he saw the danger, but he backed down when the grand cleric scolded him. His later rage was guilt that he had backed down. I can feel sorry for him, but not like him as he let others and appearances dictate his actions most of the time. I like your version too!

I know what you mean, but they created an amazing foundation. there was so much in his charater to take further ^_^ I think we'll see another DLC for him, that's my hope!

Alas, I was more angry that I paid extra for such incomplete work. Paying extra for a romance and getting that? That was almost as much as paperback romance in cost, but not worth the cost at full price, maybe later as a bundle. And the no flirt thing? He has experience and Hawke couldn't have even flirted? Very unfair, I wouldn't go with a guy that bad. She could sleep with faceless guys in your story, but not the companions in the OC? Most of his dev was vengeance based, not romance or even starting over after loss, but he disapproves anyone else doing anything for vengeance? No, that particular release was so disappointing I'm seriously reluctant now in getting more DLC's, as I can't justify the cost for a bad release.

You've done a very good job fixing in your story a lot of these ways they screwed up, that I like him. :) But that kind of proves my point, that you had to give him focus, balance, humor and romance that they didn't, and we paid extra for it. You made him much better than Bioware utterly failed to. There's more to a romantic character than voice and armor. Yours is a GOOD romantic lead, but they dropped the ball completely in game.

Yeah, Seb wasn't really a full romance option, but he certainly added to the story I thought! Some added conflict is always good...and gave me fodder for writing, LOL ^_^

And poor Seb. I'm very happy if I can make people think twice about him. At the very least, it's good to see a bit more of his internal workings as well as his outward preachyness, hehe. ^_^

This is a very, VERY good thing.

I think the big problem I have with Seb is that he's set up as a rival to Anders, and I'm a bit blind where Anders is concerned. Well, for blind read COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY OBSESSED. It would be totally out of character for Seb to forgive Anders for what he does, though, and I do like his character for that reason, but when he warned me that Anders was "selfish" I really REALLY wanted a "stab Sebastian in his arrogant interfering face" mod.

AND the shameboner series was born :D. Writing him does make me more sympathetic to him, but I'm afraid I'm never going to shank my Anders so he'll just have to run off to Starkhaven to raise his army every time I play *shrug*.
