This is a crop of an image I did today that will feature in the Q&A section of an ImagineFX issue soon. I'll post the full image after press ^_^
Sebastian Vael would have been content to spend his days in the Chantry until the Maker chose to let him know whether he was truly a Prince or a priest; he had made his decision. He hadn't expected the Maker's 'sign' to be anything this drastic.
Not a character I expected to b doing a full fanart treatment of, but he's a very intriguing subject and I had fun with the expression here ^_^
Obviously this is pure fanart; Sebastian and Dragon Age 2 belong to the wonderful bioware and EA games...may the Maker bless them!
He can come across badly, for sure! I found myself thinking more deeply into his personality after the game and started really warming to how torn he is! ^_^
He was torn between priesthood (a redundant and useless profession) and rulership. His final remarks and the reason for seizing rulership were enough reason for me to hate him. The fact that he takes the Chantries version of events at face value irritates me a great deal, because I've always believed that a religious organisation that doesn't stand up to intense moral scrutiny deserves to be wiped out.
