This is another one of the colour images that features in the gallery section of my graphic novel, Hamlet.
The book is released in February here in the UK (along with its sister-book, Romeo and Juliet by Sonia Leong), with US and German co-editions following.
It's all very exciting! ^_^
This image is of the poor, doomed Ophelia...but I wanted to give her some kind of happiness and contentment in her colour image. ^_^

The colours and the composition are so simple that Ophelia by ~emmav gathers a totally new character. It's fantastic. (

OMG YOU drew the Hamlet graphic novel!! I love it!!!! actually I just finished reading it for the third time...but I was wondering....why are Hamlet's legs so big? And why was he wearing a dress?
But other than that I totally lurve the whole book...definitely one of my favs.
haha, I did indeed - glad you liked it ^__^ Do you mean the tunic he wears? I wanted to keep the historical element despite it being set in the future, so things like billowing sleeves and tunics seemed a good idea, haha.
Must have been that...I still love the book...even if Hamlet is a weirdo. That's the best part about him isn't it? How he always seems half grounded and half out of his mind. You drew him good, I liked the streak in his hair.

Thanks again!
And yeah, Hamlet is a fascinating character! At what point does his contrived madness slip over a line, eh?
