A wind-down sketch, but using actual brush pen on actual paper! Shock! Colours added in photoshop. As a digital artist, there's something so relaxing and soothing about putting real ink on paper sometimes. One day I'd love to do a full comic with brush, but I know that I need a lot more work to have that sort of control over the medium.
I think it might be the lack of control that's making them look so nice and fluid! I've always found that getting things "just right" can be a process that removes energy and movement from an image - I still struggle to give my inks the same feel as my pencils.
Yeah, very true. I really want to try a comic with brush, but I have such fear of lines not going where I intend them to - then again, as you say, maybe that's not always a bad thing.
Eeeee, I'll try!! It's so fun, but I wish I had more control. Can only get it with practice, I know. But man, I can see why you use brush - feels so nice! You are the master of the brush though ^_^
